An
associate counsel with MacKenzie Fujisawa LLP, Rob Wynick
has a general corporate/commercial law practice with particular
emphasis on the purchase and sale of businesses, real estate
development and construction law.
Rob’s area of focus includes acting on behalf of clients
in connection with their investments and business acquisitions
in British Columbia and in other jurisdictions within Canada.
The transactions involve both share and asset acquisitions
and typically involve the completion of a full range of due
diligence searches and the negotiation of formal purchase
agreements, ongoing management and employment agreements,
and non-competition covenants.
Rob is Vice Chair of the Environmental Appeal Board, Vice Chair of the Forest Appeals Commission and a member of the Oil and Gas Appeals Tribunal of British Columbia. He is also currently acting on a number of real estate development
projects. These project involve acting on the acquisition
of the project lands and the financing of development costs,
the negotiation and documentation of the ownership, management
and other arrangements among the parties undertaking the development,
the negotiation and satisfaction of all regulatory subdivision
requirements, the preparation of disclosure statements and
the satisfaction of all other regulatory requirements relating
to the marketing for sale of the development units, and acting
on the sale or lease of the development units.
